One of the many things that make us unique at our Spa is the freedom to create new treatments and based on our knowledge of the skin and body we can develop new techniques and combinations. For example, one of the most recent combinations is a chair massage prior to a facial treatment.
The technical reason for this technique? Well…we often live very hectic lifestyles, with constant stress, hard work, long hours at the computer, poor sleep, and many other reasons that greatly cause us back pain and tension on our shoulders and neck. These muscles have a close connection with the facial muscles and can easily cause them stress, spasms, even sagging throughout the facial area.
There are more than 40 muscles that have been identified in the face and all can be affected by stress. The face has very small muscles that are in constant motion and can be described similar to a puzzle. These entire puzzle pieces communicate with one another and with the rest of the body as well. Unbalanced with stress and everyday life, they can begin to undergo changes and deformations without us even realizing it.
With this simple combination of a massage prior to the facial, we can achieve great results. You will notice that once your body is more at ease, your face be more able to receive the treatment it needs.
